Members of the Crime Suppression Unit work a variety of
assignments within the Investigative Services Bureau. They may
supplement the operations of the Narcotics Unit or provide
assistance to General Investigations on complicated or long term
investigations. They are assigned to work in areas where members
of the community have expressed concerns about possible illegal
activity or where there is a need for special tactical or
unmarked patrol. They operate on bicycles, on foot or in
vehicles as the requirements of their assignment dictate. This
allows them to have a direct impact on community safety and
concerns.
