Mark LeVine started his career on road patrol in Miami
Beach in 1974. During the seven year period he worked there, he
received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1977 from the New York
Institute of Technology at Nova University and a Master’s degree in
Human Resources Management from Biscayne College in 1978. While
with that South Florida department, he was also the liaison officer
during implementation of a 911 system and construction of a new
communications center.
He then began employment at the Lake Wales Police
Department in 1981, serving as police chief from November 1998 until he
retired from the department in July 2004. After serving as law
enforcement coordinator at the Kenneth C. Thompson Institute of Public
Safety at Polk Community College (commonly called the Police Academy),
he was hired to be the Winter Haven Police Department Chief of Police on
October 30, 2006. |
