Public Information Officer

The purpose of the Public Information Officer (PIO) is to provide a clear, impartial and effective method of disseminating police information to the public and the news media; to ensure the accuracy and consistency of information; and to prevent disclosure of information that might adversely affect any individual or criminal or civil court proceedings.

The Winter Haven Police Department has a Facebook page allowing our citizens to offer feedback and the many topics that relate to law enforcement in Winter Haven. In an effort to continually educate and update the community regarding calls the men and women of the Winter Haven Police Department answer, a daily email is sent (Mon - Fri) covering the previous 24-hour period. (Weekend data will be sent in Monday's report.) This report gives the general location of the event, type of call, date and time.  Due to some calls requiring specific confidentiality, only the block and street of the call location is noted on the report.  To view a report, click here.

Purchase Accident Reports
If you need to obtain an accident report that occurred in the City of Winter Haven, you can obtain one from the convenience of your home. Click HERE to begin a search for the report. (Please note there may be a fee associated with this service)
