Welcome to the City of Winter Haven Police Department website.  Located in beautiful Central Florida, the City of Winter Haven is the second largest municipality in Polk County with a population of more than 26,000.  The City is 36 square miles with more than seven square miles being comprised of the Chain of Lakes.

The Winter Haven Police Department consists of 79 sworn officers and 40 civilians.  Our Department is a full-service agency that was internationally accredited by CALEA in 1997 and state accredited by CFA in 2002.

The Winter Haven Police Department re-affirms its dedication to providing the best possible law enforcement services as well as programs for the community.  These programs include D.A.R.E., Police Explorers, Neighborhood Watch and numerous Crime Prevention functions.  Additionally, training and education of our officers are stressed in order to remain responsive to community needs.
